Activities at the Ukraine shelter

On March 16th, Serve the Gentle went to play soccer with the children at the Ukraine shelter. Both the children and the volunteers were able to show their competitive side and burn off some energy. On March 27th, they visited another shelter. Using both playdough and modeling clay, the children and young people showcased their creativity and made some beautiful art.

Talent days with Stichting Move

On March 4, 11, and 18, Serve the Wisdom teamed up with Stichting Move to host workshops during the talent days at Pendula primary school. These sessions were designed for group 7/8 students and centered around geography and citizenship. During these three weeks, the students got to design and build their own dream neighborhood. The project aimed to teach them about everything it takes to develop a local area and the role the city council plays in that process. Especially with the local elections approaching, it was a great learning experience for everyone involved.

Etiquettediner

On March 17, the annual Etiquette Dinner took place at the Willem II Stadium, organized by Serve the City Tilburg in collaboration with Fractie Front. Many boards were in attendance once again and, like every year, the Executive Board of Tilburg University was also present.

The Etiquette Dinner raised a wonderful total of €1322,29 for Serve the City Tilburg. We would therefore like to thank Bonheur for hosting the evening, and ofcourse the Executive Board for making this event possible.

Making soup at Amarant

This month, Serve the Brave once again visited Amarant to make soup. On March 25, they enjoyed a cooking session together with the clients, followed by a shared meal of the freshly made soup. Once again, it was a great success and very delicious!

Walking and cooking with elderly

As they do every month, Serve the Grey organized many activities with the elderly. Every week, they went for walks with the residents at Boshuis De Wever. On March 10, the walk was a bit different than usual. Instead of their regular route, they went to visit Cirknus, which was hosted at Amarant.

In addition, the committee joined IKook on several occasions, where they enjoyed cooking and sharing a meal with a group of seniors. On March 4 and 18, they also prepared a delicious lunch at De Reyshoeve. These activities will continue in the coming months.
