Mud run
On June 15, we as a board are running a 13 kilometer mud run! With this we want to raise money for Serve the City to organize great activities. We also want to ensure that our successors have an amount to start the year with when they start in August.

Senior Liberation Festival
On May 5, Serve the Grey organised the senior liberation festival together with fraternity Kater and sorority Luna. This was a party organized for seniors and veterans to celebrate the freedom we have here in the Netherlands and to talk about it with each other. This was very nice. There were also two singers present who came to sing for us, and and we were able to enjoy that, while enjoying cake and coffee. It was a lot of fun and we were able to have some good conversations.
Tour at La Trappe
On May 6, Serve the Grey took a tour at brewery de Koningshoeven, offered to us by La Trappe. Together with Stichting Met je hart we enjoyed a fun and interesting tour and ended it with a lunch at La Trappe. This was also very tasty and we talked together about all kinds of things. Thank you La Trappe for organizing such a fun day!
Serve the Dinner x T.S.V Plato
On May 15, together with student association T.S.V. Plato, we organized Serve the Dinner. We provided a High Tea for Sterk Huis with all different kinds of snacks, sandwiches and of course tea. This was very successful and was also very much appreciated by Sterk Huis. So it was a very successful activity!
Green City Tour
On May 15, we organized the annual Green City Tour together with VSA, during which we visit all kinds of sustainable shops and restaurants in the city center of Tilburg. We ate vegan croissants and roze koeken at Anne & Max, visited King’s Tailor clothingreparation, shopped at the ReShare Store and Bliek, had harira soup at the Couscousbar, and enjoyed vegan treats at BijdeT and Focus Foodbar. Afterwards we drank a beer and had some snacks at Steck013. All in all it was a fun afternoon in which we discovered new places to shop and eat!
Pub quiz
On May 15 we had our internal activity for our committee volunteers, but on this occasion the activity was open to everyone. We held a pub quiz and everyone was welcome to join. Because of this, we also had a larger turnout than usual, and this was very enjoyable. People participated fanatically, because at the end there was a prize for the team with the most points. It was a very successful and fun pub quiz!
Night University
On May 16, Night University took place. This is an event organized by Tilburg University and it is a campus and science festival. This year’s theme was facts and fables. On this night there are lectures, performances, workshops, quizzes, tours and much more. Serve the City was also present, of course. We had statements on which people could vote whether they thought it was true or false and then they could put a ball in the vase they thought was the right answer. Afterwards, we gave them more explanation of what the right answer was. This was a very successful evening and many interested people joined us and were also frequently surprised at the correct answer to some statements. All in all, it was a very fun and educational evening.
ASVZ Gala
On May 24 the ASVZ Gala took place which was organized by Serve the Brave in cooperation with ASVZ. In the morning and afternoon we made snacks so we could hand them out at the gala in the evening. This was very much appreciated and people liked it too. We also made a welcome drink so that people could enjoy it when they entered. Despite the rain, it was a very successful gala and everyone enjoyed it very much!
