Winter break

Written by Anne-Lin van Gelder

Since it’s almost winter break we would like to look back at our activities from the past half year.

From the first of August we were the new, 7th board, of Serve the City Tilburg.

Our first activity was the TOP-week, also known as the introduction week for all the new students. We were present at the games day and the festival. We had much fun in gathering new potential committee members and promoting Serve the City!

On Thursday the 29th of August we attended the International Bazaar organized by ”Fractie Front”.

Then we spent a weekend together in ”De Katjeskelder” to get to know each other more.

On the second of September we were present at the TUC.

The 19th of September we had our first visibility day at the campus. We gave away bottles of water.

To celebrate the new boards, we were invited to a lot of constitution drinks.

Off course we also had our own constitution drink at Café Bolle on the 26th of September.

We went to the I*ESN cantus on the 3th of September with a few of our committee members.

Like the other past years we were at Night University. This took place on the 4th of October. People could paint their hand on a canvas. Our theme was a helping hand.

A frequent activity was walking with elderly. If you want to know more about this activity you can find more information in another blogpost!

In November we had three more activities: the activity with Versot, Serve the Moms and the ”Sinterklaasactiviteit”. All activities have an own blogpost if you want to know more!

This was our past half year! As you can see we did a lot of different things to promote Serve the City.

We, the 7th board of STC, would like to wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year!
